Vacation/ villa rental in the heart of France ideal for small families and/
or large groups.
Being situated in the heart of France France, in Liglet (near La Trimouille, Le Blanc and Montmorillion) in the region of Poitou-Charente and the departement of Vienne, the Leigners Estate has a real nice surrounding and it's the perfect place to relax. From our estate you can visit castles, museams, old cities, villages, or the world famous and oldest France fresco's, visit a bird show, be really active (or just take a sunbath), etcetera!
Our estate is a great place to relax, in summer and in winter. All year round actually. For example you can sit by the big fireplace in winter and in summer you can fresh yourself up in the swimmingpool (or a bit up the river if you like). At nights you can enjoy the stars. It's because you won't find traffic noise here, also not from tractors. The scenary is lovely and a lot of our guests (mostly from the Netherlands and the UK, but also from the USA and France) have lost their hearts to this region and have come back to us more than once.
Whether you want to spend your holiday with your whole family/ colleagues or with a few, it's both possible. When you rent our property, you rent a whole house (there are three) and you can stay there with up to 14 persons per house. In both ways (with a few or with a lot), you will have enough privacy.
Starting from our premises you can take a walk (e.g. on the official walking path, or just on our premises), cycle, canoe, fish, drive to one of the many villages in the region to do sightseeing, take a canoetrip there, do your groceries, etcetera. On the premises is a swimmingpool, an old tenniscourt, a river and a dam (great to fish there or take the canoe), an old watermill, an old 17th century villa, a place to barbeque, and more.
Although you are in the middle of nature you don't have to feel like camping per se. Washing your clothes can be done with the washingmachine and also you won't have to do the dishes by hand. There is a televison, cd-player, a chair for children, clean laundry, and you can dry your clothes with the dryer.
When you drive, walk or canoe through the neirby country you'll be surprised how many birds you will see and occasionally (but mosly in the mornings) you will see a deer running away. If you come here, don't forget to take your camera! If only for the horizons.
All year round you can contact us. Our concierge will be happy to answer your questions and assist you where possible. You can contact us by e-mail by filing in the online booking form. We speak English, Dutch, French and German.
Prices for one week vary, according to season and house. The range is between 250,- and 1220,- euro. Please click on our website link at the top of the page for full details of prices etc.

There's lots to do!
A few examples:
-visit the Abbey Church of Saint-Savin (about 30 minute drive, also see http://www.worldheritagesite.org/sites/saintsavinsurgartempe.html)
-use the barbeque
-take a signposted walk from a different village or just start from our premises!
-take a canoe to paddle on the river that crosses our premises
-play ping-pong (yes, you can set up our table tennis)
-rent a canoe or bike in Le Blanc, be transfered further on the river and have a whole day of canoeing back or cycle around
-visit the lovely churches and/ or villages
-take a swim in the pool or up the river
-visit the local markets at wednesday morning
-visit the National Parc de la Brenne (about 30 minute drive, also see http://www.parc-naturel-brenne.fr/english/contenu_accueilGB.htm)
-visit the 'brocantes' in summer (absolutely recommended)
-catch a fish
-etcetera
