The Cottage is one of three delightfully restored properties set in a small peacefull valley about one mile outside the village of Notre dame du Touchet.

The Cottage is alittle further away from the other two properties set in the lower field with small garden surrounding the front and side and a large lawned area to the rear.
A wildflower meadow has been created in the bottom half of the field with a small stream beyond that.
A good sized kitchen with all usual appliances gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher etc.Off the kitchen is a utilty room with wahing machine and toilet.
The lounge area has three settees one being a metal action bed settee for extra guests, woodburning stove, satellite TV. DVD etc, dining area and french windows leading out onto a large terraced area overlooking the lawn and wildflower meadow.
Upstairs are three bedrooms one with a double bed and single chair bed, one with double and vanity unit and asmall bedroom with two beds suitable for small adults or children.
Seperate toilet with handbasin and a shower/wetroom with washbasin. Plenty of parking area for two/three cars.
The Cottage is ideal for winter visits to the area with high levels of insulation and underfloor heating from the wood burner you are really snug and warm whatever the weather throws at you, special rates for couples during this period please call us.

The property is well equiped with all modern appliances travel cots and high chair. Duvets and pillows etc. a comfortable settee bed for two additional guests if required. Satellite tv etc.
Swimming pools one being a baby/learnong pool with a slope/solar panel leading into the main pool all safely fenced to prevent toddler access.
The terrace wraps around two sides of the house allowing you to follow the sun during the day or some shade when cooked!The pools are just 50metres away and are securely fenced so toddlers are unable to gain access without adult help. |

We have a local agent a lovely french lady who has lived in England for many years and speaks perfect Englishliving nearby.
She is avaiable to explain the facilties in the house and tell you all about the local area, the restaurants etc. She also offers a linen hire service so you could have the beds made up just as required.Ferry discounts may also be arranged. |

If you are able to drag yourself away from the peace and quite of the valley there is much to interest all tastes. Vast sandy beaches are about half an hour away usually very few people on them, four golf courses are within easy reach, exellent fishing in many area nearby and horse riding is also available.
One of the largest street markets in Normandy is held each wednesday in St Hilaire du Harcouet and many other interesting places to visit The historic and spectacular Mont St Michel is about half an hour away, St Malo, Fougere, Granvile, Domfront, Villidieu les Poules and the D day beaches are alll woth visiting and within easy reach.
Some of our guests have had a worthwhile day out in Paris by cathing the early train from Vire and with the TGV coming to St Malo late 2005 this may prove to be an even quicker route. Day trips to the Channel Islands from St Malo are also possible and a delightfull trip to the Isles of Chaussey may be made from Granville. |
