The cottage is a 200 year old barn conversion set in a lovely countryside location. The views over the valley are stunning. It is located in the country but only 5 mins drive from the bustling medieval town of Villedieu-Les-Poeles.
An ideal location for peace and quiet but also well positioned for visiting the local tourist sites. Beaches are about 20 mins drive and there is a wonderful zoo only 5 mins drive.

It has 2 large family bedrooms sleeping 6. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are spacious and comfortable and open plan.
There is large feature granite stone fireplace and exposed stone walls and original beams throughout.
It has the added bonus of a 2nd living room on the 1st floor - this can also be used as an extra bedroom if required.
The shower room is spacious and located downstairs with the toilet separate next to it.
There are 3 sets of patio doors on the front of the cottage make it light and airy and gives wonderful views when opened in the Summer. Ideal for dining outside on the patio as it is only a few steps from the kitchen.
The property is not overlooked apart from the sheep and cows and horses in neighbouring fields.

Avranches is only 20 mins drive and full of restaurants, cafes bars and very good shops including 5 large super/hypermrkets.
Mont St Michel is only 30 mins drive away and not to be missed. St Malo and Dinan are also only about 60 mins.
The beaches both to the North and South of the Baie of Mont St Michel in Normandy and Brittany are only about 20 mins to 30 mins.
The DDay beaches north of Caen and other cemetaries at Omaha can be reached in an hour.
There is a wonderful Zoo at Champrepus - just 5 mins drive, and a Reptilarium, 30 mins, near Mont St Michel. Plus a host of other attractions for children and adults.
The coastline from Mont St Michel - about 30 minutes drive is stunning all the way to the famous fishing port of Cancale where a Fruits de Mer is a must.
The whole area is a must for cyclists and walkers as it is not too hilly and is full of wildlife.

D Day Landing Museum Utah Beach. It is set up at the site of the US landing on the 6th June 1944. Unique 360 degree cinema.

Champrepus Zoo- just down the road - 5 mins drive. Adults 10e, children 3-12 5.50e. Set in a unique 7 hectare parc and gardens and open every day 1st April to 30th September. 1 child free with each 2 adults.

Reptilarium Du Mont Saint Michel. Set on a farm off the A84 near Mont St Michel. 300 tortoises, crocs, alligators and caymans. 200 lizards and snakes. Picnic area, shop, open every day 1st April to 30 Sept. Adults 7e, 13-18 6e, 4-12 5e.

Chemins de La Baie,guided walks across the sands of the Baie of Mont St Michel. Not for the lazy or flat footed. Several hours of walking to reach the summit of Mont St Michel. Reservation required.

Enchanted Village at Bellefontaine, a childs fairytale dream come true. A wonderful childsize village full of castles, forts, enchanted gardens and fountains and a minature railway. Great if you are under 7 but adults with children will enjoy it too.
